Long before the COVID-19 pandemic, those of us who worked from home knew there were a host of benefits to the arrangement, from fewer distractions to more concentrated creativity and even opportunities to eat healthier and get more outdoor time and exercise. As a branded content writer, I created a series of of three articles on remote working for the Boston Globe BrandLab, sponsored by Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. The first one details how remote work has been transformative in both the lives and careers of many workers, and has led to a bottom-line boost for businesses.

The pandemic put the two additional articles in the series, on the effects of workplace burnout and practical ways to prevent burnout from happening, on hold. As workplaces begin to return to their pre-COVID state of operations, those articles will take on a new relevance.
